The film features Prithviraj Sukumaran in an intriguing villainous role and also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F in significant parts.

Recently, the makers unveiled the film’s official teaser which received a good response from the fans.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ will be facing a big Bollywood clash with Ajay Devgn’s period sports drama film ‘Maidaan’. (ANI)

The Chief Minister will now take a rest at the Government Guest House in Lucknow, from where he will visit Ayodhya tomorrow and perform ‘aarti’ on the banks of the Saryu river, according to an itinerary circulated among media persons.

“Sadhus have organised programs in Ayodhya and we will participate in them. In the past, Sadhus were killed in Palghar, but now we will protect our Sadhus. A program is organised in Palghar too, I will attend that as well. In BJP and Shivsena govt, law and order will be maintained,” Shinde had earlier in the day told reporters in Mumbai.

UP To Become Torchbearer Of Industrial Revolution 4.O: Yogi

The investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore received in the Global Investors Summit prove that Uttar Pradesh will emerge as the ‘torchbearer’ of the Industrial Revolution 4.O, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.

While addressing an award ceremony as well as toolkit distribution ceremony under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi said, “The focal point of UP’s industrial development are the 96 lakh MSME clusters. The time has come that now we have to open designing and packaging institutes in the state to take MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) products to a new level.”
He said there is a need to link banks with the Vishwakarma Shram Yojana, so that our artisans can get financial help to expand their business. For this, meetings of artisans associated with Vishwakarma Shram Yojana should be organized with bankers in every district of the state.

Highlighting on ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP), CM Yogi said, “Today, ODOP is not only promoting the products of every district of the state, but adding them with new design and technology, is also providing global market for them. ODOP has become the back bone of the MSME sector of UP. It has emerged as the foundation of self-reliant India in the whole country.”

He reiterated that ODOP has brought respect to the handicraftsmen of UP at the global level. This is the reason that UP has emerged as the hub of exports today. Before 2017, exports were just Rs 86,000 crores, which have now gone up to Rs 2.5 lakh crore.

The Chief Minister said that it is the strength of ODOP that UP emerged as the biggest investment destination today. “Undoubtedly, the rule of law is our first priority, it is also necessary for the government to work with good intentions, but along with all this, having a cluster of 96 lakh MSMEs is also the strength of UP,” he said.

Yogi noted that MSME itself is going to become the foundation of the industrial development of UP. The Global Investors Summit has decided that UP will lead the fourth industrial revolution.

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister said 2.5 to 3 lakh families are associated only with the work of weaving. The government is soon going to announce freight units for weavers’ looms, he said. (ANI)

Allahabad HC Asks Centre To Ban Cow Slaughter

Allahabad HC Asks Centre To Ban Cow Slaughter

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has sought a decision from the Centre to declare cows as a ‘protected national animal’ and also enact an appropriate law to ban cow slaughter in the country.

“Hope Centre will take a decision to ban cow slaughter, declare cows ‘protected national animal’, Allahabad High Court said.
The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has expressed hope that the Centre will take an appropriate decision to ban cow slaughter and declare it as a “protected national animal”.

“We live in a secular country and must have respect for all religions. In Hinduism, the belief is that the cow is the representative of divine and natural beneficence. Therefore it should be protected and venerated,” Justice Shamim Ahmad said on February 14, dismissing a plea seeking the quashing of criminal proceedings against a person under the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955.

The petitioner, and a resident of Barabanki, Mohammad Abdul Khaliq, had pleaded that the police booked him without any evidence and hence the proceedings pending against him in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate should be quashed. Dismissing the plea, the bench held that from the facts on record, a prima- facie case was made out against the petitioner.

While passing the order, the judge observed, “The cow has also been associated with various deities, notably Lord Shiva (whose steed is Nandi, a bull) Lord Indra (closely associated with Kamadhenu), Lord Krishna (a cowherd in his youth), and goddesses in general.”

The bench also noted that as per the legends, cows emerged from the ocean of milk at the time of Samudramanthan or the great churning of the ocean by the gods and demons and that she was presented to the seven sages, and in the course of time came into the custody of sage, Vasishta.

The judge further said that a cow’s legs symbolise the four Vedas and her milk is four “Purushartha” (or human objectives — “dharma” or righteousness, “artha” or material wealth, “kama” or desire and “moksha” or salvation.

“Her horns symbolise the gods, her face the sun and moon, and her shoulders “Agni” (the god of fire). The cow has also been described in other forms: Nanda, Sunanda, Surabhi, Susheela and Sumana,” Justice Ahmad said.

He said that the origin of the veneration of the cow can be traced to the Vedic period. (ANI)
