BJP Patriots vs. Corrupt Cong: Shah In Haryana
Targeting the Congress ahead of the Haryana assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that on one side stands the BJP, a group of patriots, and on the other, the Congress, a group of corrupt individuals.
Addressing a public rally here, Shah accused the Congress party of being experts in spreading fake narratives.
“They claimed that Agniveer soldiers would have neither work nor pensions. But I want to tell you that under the Agniveer scheme, soldiers are receiving 20 per cent reservations in police services. Congress is also keen on playing appeasement politics in Haryana,” he said.
“Elections will be held in Haryana on October 5, and your vote will decide the state’s future. There are two forces in this election: on one side, the BJP, a group of patriots, and on the other, the Congress Party, a group of corrupt individuals,” Shah added.
The Union Home Minister also stated that if the people elect the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana for the third time, the party will work for the welfare of OBCs, Dalits, farmers, soldiers, and athletes.
He further highlighted the development in Faridabad, noting that a new railway station has been built at a cost of Rs 262 crore, with multi-level parking facilities.
“Seven new trains have been introduced in Faridabad. Under the PM Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi scheme, loans were provided to 30,000 street vendors. Our goal is to create a developed Haryana and a developed India, while theirs (Congress) is to promote their own family,” Shah said.
“The Congress party wants to drag Haryana into its politics of appeasement. Rahul Gandhi and his associates have an agenda to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir. But I say, Rahul Gandhi, no matter how hard you try, as long as the BJP exists, Article 370 will never be restored,” he declared.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The vote count will take place on October 8, alongside that of Jammu and Kashmir.
In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 40 seats, while Congress secured 30. (ANI)
